Medical use of Marijuana seeds

Numerous studies have been carried out to determine the usefulness of marijuana seeds in medical science. These seeds were introduced for medicinal use for the first time in the early nineteenth century in the Western countries. Nearly a hundred studies have been conducted and majority of them were conducted during the 1970’s and the 1980’s the peak period of marijuana use.

Marijuana is used basically to prevent nausea by the doctors in cancer chemotherapy. Smoked marijuana has been established as a superior preventive compared to Marinol. Oncologists are recommending use of weed seeds for their patients. Another field of treatment where marijuana use has been found to be quite effective is the loss of appetite. Especially in AIDS patients the appetite loss is quite common. However, no further research in the field might be possible since Government has blocked research in this regard. Yet Marinol has been the FDA approved treatment for AIDS till date. The Government has now blocked an attempt to study and research the effects of marijuana in AIDS wasting syndrome.

Use of cannabis seeds has also been found effective as preventive of convulsion in cases of spinal injuries, sclerosis, and epilepsy and similar other critical diseases.  Sometimes marijuana may also be useful to be used as analgesic for the patients suffering from chronic cancer pains or migraine. The seeds are also found performing well in cases of rheumatism. However, studies are badly needed to know the actual use of cannabis in the field of medicine and treatments.
